Hello!

I'm Rosie, the heart and hands behind Rosie's Casting Studio, based in Paraparaumu, New Zealand.

My journey into the world of casting began in 2019 when my son was born. He arrived 3 months prematurely, at 28 weeks gestation, weighing just 695g (1.5lbs). When he was only 3 weeks old, and still in an incubator, I had his little hand and foot cast. Those tiny casts became my most treasured possessions…and launched me into a new career!

In 2023, the success of Rosie's Casting Studio pushed me to take things a step further…so I launched 'Rosie's Casting Academy' teaching beginners and professionals how to master the art of lifecasting via an online course, masterclass collection, and 1:1 support calls! I now have almost 300 students based all around the globe!

Then in 2025, I became pregnant with my second, but unfortunately it wasn’t the happy ending we were expecting. He was unexpectedly stillborn at full term. Having worked in the babyloss space for a number of years professionally, I was fortunately some-what well equipped to deal with such a tragedy. We were (and still are) so well wrapped in support, and doing well.

Which brings us to 2026, where I have decided to press-pause on in-person services (for now). Rosie’s Casting Academy is still operating and you can learn how to lifecast with me there to your hearts content, but if you were hoping to have me create a special keepsake for you, I’m sorry - I hope you’ll understand.
